PLACEMENT PROBABILITIES ARE TOO HIGH WITH INTEGRATED PROGRAM OF

B.Tech. (AERONAUTICAL) + AME

In today’s world, having a single graduate degree will not make you stand out from the crowd. Thus, students have started opting for two courses together, to increase their skills and knowledge about several subjects. 

If you are looking for a career change, an Integrated Program may help you advance your basic degree and also help you explore areas in other fields. Another major advantage of such a course is that you may also gain versatility and add courses to your professional portfolio.

Such programs are less costly than doing Aeronautical Engineering degrees and AME separately. By doing an integrated program, one saves time and becomes fully skilled. Suppose a student is doing only B.Tech. Aeronautical Engineering, if he or she happens to join some Airlines as a graduate engineer trainee, then again he is supposed to put up another two years to clear DGCA’s, AME License examination. All this reflects, that Integrated Program Personnel have an edge over either only Aeronautical Engineering Personnel or only AME Personnel. More of these personnel will have both designing skills as well maintenance skills.

The integrated course is a combined course of B.Tech. (Aeronautical Engineering) and Aircraft Maintenance Engineering, in which students will appear for two different examinations for the issue of Degree and License. Both the courses will be running parallel to each other, at the end of four years students will have both B.Tech. (Aeronautical Engineering) & Aircraft Maintenance Engineering, thereby making him eligible for both Manufacturing as well Maintenance jobs related to aircraft. This will also enhance the placement probabilities as we will be able to apply for every type of job available in the aviation engineering industry, either related to manufacturing or maintenance.

More and more students have started opting for dual degrees or dual courses, to make themselves stand out in a crowd. These students with Integrated courses are preferable candidates in Industry because employers can place them in any of the relevant jobs in their company.

Along with the course curriculum, we are also providing designing and analysis-related software to the students to make them eligible for the designing industry too.

These students will be appearing for two separate examinations of the University for the award of B.Tech. degree and DGCA license examination for award of AME license.

Practicals being provided to them have been designed in such a way as to make them eligible for jobs in both manufacturing as well as maintenance sector jobs.

QUALIFICATION FOR ADMISSION INTO INTEGRATED PROGRAM OF AERONAUTICAL ENGINEERING AND AME

The minimum eligibility criteria for admission into the Integrated Program are:

• Applicant must pass 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics or equivalent. Students having any other optional subject in place of Chemistry are also eligible. E.g. Computer Science in place of chemistry along with Physics and Mathematics.
• 3 years Engineering Diploma in the relevant stream. (i.e. Diploma in Mechanical, Production & Industrial, Electronics & Communication, Electronics, Instrumentation & Control, Telecommunication Engineering and Aeronautical Engineering. Students with this qualification are eligible for lateral entry into the second year of the Aeronautical Engineering Program.
• B.Sc. with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. Students with this qualification are eligible for lateral entry into the second year of the Aeronautical Engineering Program.
• Candidate must have a minimum 60% mark in 10+2 in PCM or equivalent or in any of the above qualification requirements.

SCOPE FOR AERONAUTICAL ENGINEERING + AME

India is the third largest aviation market, with lots of scope to become the world’s largest aviation market shortly. After the Indian government’s Make in India policy, lots of aircraft manufacturers have started outsourcing the designing and manufacturing of aircraft components in India. All these companies are looking for skilled Aeronautical Engineers or AMEs to be employed in their companies.

Airbus and Boing both have established their manufacturing units in India, these companies are also big employers for Aeronautical Engineering OR AME pass-outs.

India’s aviation growth is visible by increasing passenger traffic, with lots of new airports coming up to cater to passengers’ traffic. In Delhi and Mumbai, at both metros, the Indian government is planning third and second airports, respectively. Passenger traffic has increased to the extent in Delhi that the government has already segregated the helicopter and nonscheduled operators flying from New Delhi Indira Gandhi International Airport. Helicopter flying is taking place from a separate India’s First Heliport at Rohini and nonscheduled operators or small aircraft operators are flying from a separate airport at Hindon. Due to this high growth in the Industry, more and more aircraft will be brought and manufactured, thereby increasing the jobs for Aeronautical Engineering / AME pass-outs and already working experienced personnel.

Due to relaxation in taxes, the MRO industry is to boost up from 800 crores to 3000 crores in the next 3 years. Convergence between the defense sector and civil MROs will be established to create economics in scale. This will also generate huge jobs for Aeronautical Engineering graduates.

Aeronautical engineers are also employed in space sector jobs. According to the Indian government's latest announcement, the Indian private sector is to be a co-traveler in the space sector journey. They will also provide a level playing field for private companies in satellites, launchers, and space-based services. This will boost the job prospects for Aeronautical Engineering / Aerospace Engineering graduates.

Aeronautical Engineering / AME graduates can apply for jobs in approximately 350 plus companies in India, to mention some of the companies and domains of aviation-related companies are as follows:

• India Air Force, Army, Navy, Coast Guard, BSF, HAL, ISRO, DRDO, NAL, Taneja Aerospace, Mahendra Aerospace, Civil Aviation Department, DGCA, AAI, Scheduled Airlines, Non-Scheduled Airlines, Private Airlines, Government Airlines, MRO, AMO, TECHNICAL PUBLICATIONS, DESIGNING COMPANIES AND MANUFACTURING COMPANIES.
